5 Fantastic Spooky Steel Gates for Halloween

October 31, 2017 7:25 am [Image] Large Metal Dragon Gate

Every once in awhile here at Steel Advantage in Phoenix, AZ, we like to delve deeply into the infinite variety of designs available when you decide to purchase a custom steel gate or custom steel security screen doors. Over the years we’ve discovered some pretty amazing gates. So just in time for Halloween, we thought you might enjoy seeing some of the more fantastical steel gates we’ve come across. Below you’ll find 7 steel or iron gates in imaginative designs perfect for this time of year. Some are spooky and some are fun. So take a look!

1. Spiderweb gate:

We found many examples of spider web gates from the whimsical to the scary. Some of them have spiders as part of their design and others don’t, but we really love this spider web gate at Hoveton Hall Gardens in Norfolk, UK.

2. Stephen King’s Bangor Maine Gate:

The Bangor, Maine house of famous author of horror and fantasy stories and novels has a spooky gate to match that features several of favorite Halloween motifs, including spider webs, dragons with multiple heads as well as some impressive metalwork.

3. Dragon Gate:

We were pleasantly surprised to discover so many examples of dragon inspired gate designs during our research! There are so many stunning gates that feature dragons, it was tough for us to choose which one to feature. But we narrowed it down to this gate in Blaine, MN

4. Skull Gate:

We thought there would be more examples of gates featuring skeletons and skulls, and maybe there are more than what our own internet searches revealed. Perhaps we’re too influenced by scary movies, but this cemetery gate located in Prague, Czech Republic is actually one of the least terrifying examples we found.

5. Angel Gate:

We thought it might be nice to leave you with a gate to give you sweet dreams instead of nightmares this Halloween. Besides spiders, monsters, and skeletons, we found several gates that are more comforting than terrifying, like mermaid gates and fairy gates, but we really love this angel gate that reminds us that no matter what, God is always watching over us.

We don’t doubt that there are some other pretty mythical designs when it comes to security gates and we hope you’ve enjoyed this small sampling of some of our favorites. Happy Halloween and safe trick-or-treating to your family from our family here at Steel Advantage!
